Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts belongs to four generations of the Robertses to live in the Atlanta area beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. She inherited her father's interest in theatre from an early time. When he was an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in a play with Betty Lou Bredemus. The two married in 1955 and their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. In 1957, the couple quit the military and Walter enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter was recruited to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning television show known as Bum Bum and His Buddies which they funded by on their own. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for six years. In the meantime, they also had two children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
